“The success of every woman should be the inspiration to another. We should raise each other up.”
This business directory is brought to you by Fearless Winston Salem and our Spring ‘19 semester intern, Morgan Yates. This free resource is an effort for all of us to actively support women-owned businesses in Forsyth County. If you’d like Fearless to keep at projects that uplift women (like this!) or if you appreciate this directory, consider becoming a supporter here!
Want Your Business Listed?
Are you a women-owned business, or are you a woman that has at least 50% ownership of a business? If you answered “yes” to both of those questions, we want you! There are no fees associated with this directory, but please consider supporting more projects like this here!

About The Project
We defined the phrase “women-owned business” as a business owned (at least 50%) by those who identify as a woman. We are the first free, open access women-owned business directory in the country. Many communities have regular (coed) or pay to play directories, which is why we were so dedicated to bringing this directory to the business community and wider Forsyth County audience for free. Our goal is to level the playing field and uplift women in our community.
Hi! I am Morgan Yates, a student at Salem College and a Winston Salem native. I can usually be found driving around downtown Winston with my windows down and dancing to whatever song I am listening to. Jen Brown was the brains for this site and I was the body who did research and worked to create connections with businesses. Once Jen explained the idea I jumped at it because I love creating something that will inspire connections and support all the boss babes in this wonderful little city.
