Event Details

This class will be a primer on history not taught in our schools and is designed to garner support for the local push to get Winston Salem Forsyth County Schools to make African American Studies a required class for graduation. It’s open to ALL, without exception.

Part I of this series focused on SNCC and Robert F Williams (author of Negroes with Guns). You can watch a recording of that here:

This next session will talk about the Black Panthers, and especially the Black Panther Party in Winston-Salem.

We are passionate, informed community members, but we ARE NOT experts on this. Please come out, we’ll share what we know, and you can share what you know.
