There are a lot of things in this world that drag women down: wage gap, gender inequality, catcalls and body shaming just to name a few. Often, however, our worst enemy is much closer than we think. Negative self-talk and self-criticism are some of the most insidious ways in which we sabotage ourselves. This class is designed to start the conversation about where these negative ideas come from and how we can go about making a change in the way we treat ourselves. Using the tenants of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (and a few other things for flavor) we will be exploring the deeper reasons why we tear ourselves down and how we can better build ourselves back up again.
