How can we cultivate a spirit of inclusiveness in girls at a young age? Growing up is tough for everyone and fitting in is what we all long for. How can we teach girls how to include others who might not understand how to fit in? How can we teach this next generation to include those with social differences and bring those who are on the “out”, “in”?
In this workshop, participants will learn about neurodiversity and practical ways to be inclusive to each other and those with social differences. iCan House serves neurodiverse individuals (individuals on or around the autism spectrum, with ADHD, learning disabilities, social anxiety, etc.) and is passionate about teaching others to include our population. This course would be geared to middle school-aged girls, as this specific population deals a lot with cliques, exclusion, and popularity. We want to start these conversations at a young age so that this next generation can be inclusive of everyone!
