Come learn a post-apocalyptic skill! Knitting is a great hobby – relieves stress and promotes creativity, all while providing a crafty outlet! This beginning knitting class will teach casting on, knitting the knit and the purl stitches, and casting off. The instructor will go over the basics of knitting and how to read a pattern. By the end of the class, you will have a completed project to take home.

Students will need to bring to the first class:
1 set of knitting needles, Size 8
Locking Stitch markers
2 skeins of solid color worsted weight yarn, 350-400 yards – wool is great, but a blend works too. No cotton. NO BLACK.

Suggested local retailers:

There are also options available at the big box stores.
