Event Details

A presentation about the lives of Palestinians living under the Israeli Occupation in the West Bank and their daily struggle for human rights and dignity. All photos and videos in the presentation were taken as part of my role as a human rights defender in Hebron, West Bank. I’d like to leave space for a Q and A afterward.

Led by Alicia Rynkowska. Alicia’s bio: Originally from London, UK, I came to the US to work for a non-profit in NYC, where I was based for a year and a half, specifically working with those leaving Sing Sing after life sentences and supporting them as they re-enter the communities they were once a part of. I then moved to Houston to work for Reprieve – an anti-death penalty and torture organisation, where I paralegalled for those on death row. I joined the organisation Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT) in 2015, becoming a full-timer on their Palestine team, working in Hebron, West Bank supporting Palestinian communities in their daily struggle against the occupation. In February of this year, as I attempted to go back and rejoin my team, I was denied entry by Israel. Last year I set up the Palestinian Solidarity Committee, which holds a Jewish Voice for Peace caucus.

Free – donations to CPT are welcome
