Taught by Sylvan Taylor
Sylvan Taylor is a teacher, mom, and lifelong learner. She currently teaches the Academically Gifted and Schoolwide Enrichment classes at The Downtown School. This is her 15th year in education – over the years, she has also taught 2nd, 4th and 5th grades, run a small in-home play-based preschool, and taught at the university level with aspiring young educators. Sylvan’s passions and areas of expertise are inquiry- and exploration-based learning and the power of play. She leads workshops on these topics here in Winston-Salem, as well as at conferences around the nation.
