Saturday, October 27th from 9am to 10am at Fearless and continuing on to the Women’s March on the Polls at Emmanuel Baptist Church
Join us for the first monthly meeting of the Young Feminists club. This meeting is open to Young Feminists of all genders and ages.
We will meet at 9am at Fearless to learn a little about the history of voting rights in America and make signs for the Women’s March on the Polls.
At 10am, we will leave Fearless and head to Emmanuel Baptist Church where there will be speakers and opportunities to learn more about the process of voting.
At 11am, we will march from Emmanuel Baptist Church to Reynolds Park (a 0.7 mile walk- shuttle buses are available for anyone who needs them). At Reynolds Park, there will be games, children’s activities, and food trucks. Most importantly of all, you can actually VOTE at the Reynolds Park early voting site at this time! Nothing more powerful for our kids than to witness us performing this important civic duty.
Participants are asked to bring a morning snacks to share with the group (bagels, muffins, fruit, etc) and/or any sign-making materials you may have (markers, poster board, stencils, etc)
